Frame My Life is run by Steven Edwards and Adam Spencer from a small workshop in Rackheath, just outside Norwich.
How it started
It began as a hobby with a laser engraver. What started as something to tinker with became something more useful once we realised we could make keepsakes for the people around us, pieces that helped family and friends remember lost pets and much-loved relatives.
The name mattered from the start. This business exists to do exactly what it says, to frame the life of a loved one, a lost pet or a special moment, so it can be kept close.
How your keepsake is made
Every piece starts as solid 2mm stainless steel. Your photograph is laser-engraved into the metal itself rather than printed onto the surface, and each piece is then finished by hand, checked, and packed before it goes out.
Nothing is made in advance. Every keepsake is engraved for one photograph and one person, which is why we quote 5 to 8 working days to dispatch rather than promising a next-day service we could not keep.
Why steel
Photographs live on phones now. They are rarely printed, easily lost, and hardly ever looked at again. Steel is the opposite of that. It has weight, it will not fade, peel or yellow, and it will still be here in fifty years. If a photograph matters enough to keep, it deserves better than a camera roll.
Photographs that matter
A good part of what we make is memorial work. People send us the only photograph they have of someone, sometimes scanned from an old print. We treat those with the care they deserve, and we would far rather tell you honestly that an image will not engrave well than take the order and disappoint you.
