Your photograph, your copyright
You keep full copyright in every photograph you upload. Nothing in this policy transfers ownership of your image to us.
The licence you give us
When you place an order you grant Frame My Life Ltd a limited licence to use your photograph for one purpose only: preparing, previewing and engraving your keepsake. This includes cropping, resizing and converting the image to monochrome so it engraves well. We never use your photograph for marketing, social media or anything else without your separate written permission.
What you confirm when you upload
- You own the photograph, or you have the permission of the person who does.
- Any people shown in the photograph (or their parent or guardian, for children) are content for it to be engraved.
- If the photograph was taken by a professional photographer, you have their permission to reproduce it.
- Nothing in the photograph is unlawful, infringing or inappropriate.
Checks we carry out
Every upload passes through automated moderation, and our team reviews each photograph before engraving. We may decline any order and refund it in full if a photograph appears unlawful, infringing or inappropriate.
How long we keep your photograph
Uploaded photographs are stored securely and kept for up to 90 days after delivery, in case you need a replacement, then deleted. Order records (without your photograph) are kept for six years, as required for our accounts. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
